Lenexa is the Spinach Capital of the world, at least that’s what it was referred to as back in the 1930’s. This weekend will be host the 27th Annual Lenexa Spinach Festival. The celebration will include antiques and craft exhibits, live entertainment, a baby crawling race, a spinach recipe contest, tasting of the World’s Largest Spinach Salad, and various activities. Be sure to bring your family out to Sar-Ko-Par-Trails Park Saturday to get a taste of why Lenexa was deemed the Spinach Capital, and to get them to eat their vegetables in a fun way.
